• Always introduce the type of worksheet that you are going to give to your student or class. For example if it is a comprehension worksheet, then tell them what does comprehension mean.
• If the worksheets contain different concepts to consider then explain them as well. For example, if it includes cvc words only or diagraphs & trigraphs the  remind them these concepts and also ask them to point out such words. This will not only improve reading but refresh & reinforce old concepts as well.
• Always solve one worksheet out and loud by taking the help of student or class and then give them a new but similar worksheet that they will have to solve themselves.
• Use worksheets very often and when same type of worksheet is repeated after few days, do ask them if it is a comprehension, long story or just sentences related worksheet.
• When your class or student has solved the worksheet, ask them to read it aloud one by one and then tell the answers as well.
• Make sure every kid gets to read it out in front of the class or your kid gets to read it out in front of you and then when they are done reading, tell them what were the mistakes that they made and correct them.
• Once they correct the mistakes, appreciate them and grade them well so that they love this reading  activity and do not get afraid of reading if it was not easy for them.
